When my battery level reaches 37 percent, my Iphone shuts down. What can I do to correct this? I have upgraded to IOS 11.0, and the problem still exists. It might be worth mentioning that my Iphone 5S is over three years old. Thanks in advance for helping me with this, and have a good day.

Hello,

It sounds like your OS and hardware monitor is not in sync.

When your phone goes dead, turn it on. If it turns on, use it until it goes dead. Repeat until the phone no longer turn on. Charge the phone at least 7 hours. Do not use it while it’s charging.Repeat the process once more and your battery meter should be a bit more accurate.

HTH and good luck.

If I were you, I would replace the battery in your phone at an Apple store or another local retailer. We have a local store I got my battery replaced at for my iPhone 6 after 2 and a half years. It was $79 I think, but it's worth the money if your battery's shot and you don't want a new phone.
