Hello, I have some money left though for an iPhone 5 or 5s may be not enough. The question is whether buying iPhone 4s is still a good choice. I will be running iOS 8 and VoiceOver. Please share your opinion. Thank you!
I would not go purchase the iPhone 4s I would at least go to the iPhone 5s for running iOS 8 iOS 8 does not run good on an iPhone 4s at all and I happen to have had to downgrade iOS 7 .1 .2

Even though I have never used IOS 8 on an iPhone 4S, as I traded in mine for an iPhone 6 recently and didn't feel it was worth updating IOS for only a few weeks more use, I agree with the previous poster that it wouldn't be worth your while to buy an iPhone 4S if you know you want to use IOS 8. If you can't afford an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, you'd be better saving up for a 5S, as I've been told by several people that IOS 8 works pretty well on that. I have read and heard far more advice not to put IOS 8 on a 4S, because it will make it slow, than I have read reports that IOS 8 and the 4S work well together, not to mention that the 4S will probably no longer be among the iPhones which will even officially take another big IOS update from next year onwards, so you could be stuck with a possibly rather slow IOS 8 for the whole life of that phone if you get it and install IOS 8 on it.
Hi. If you want a five, it works pretty well on IOS8 The 4S though I have no proof of my statment, is most likely going to be phased out of the next update. As it stands Apple is running six models of the iPhone. 4S, 5, 5C 5S, 6 and 6+ Something's gotta go. I'd try for a five or even a six, as I think at least one of those is going soon, I suspect the five is next.

4S discontinued
When IPhone 6/6+ came out, the 4S was discontinued. If you do pick one up, it will have to be used, and that is risky business.
