iPad Multitasking Gestures interfering with some accessibility gestures

Hi All, I am a fairly new iPad user compared to my iPhone, so bear with me. I've turned the multitasking gestures on in Settings, and I like the way you can switch between apps with just a four-finger horizontal swipe and not have to go into the app switcher. However, I am having a problem with the conflicting "move to top/bottom" gesture. So how are you guys resolving this? Do you just not use one set of gestures? I was content to forego my easy top/bottom access in favor of switching apps... until I started using MBraille. then every time I put four fingers on the screen to type Braille, the app switcher would open! Grrr. Are app developers able to override the multitasking parameters? Hope we can figure this out. If enough people see this issue and it isn't just me, I might contact Apple and see if any flexibility can be added for iOS 7 or 8. or it may be that I'm the only one who likes this feature. :) Chelsea

Hi. I ended up turning multi tasking gestures off because I had the same problem with mbraille. It would be cool to be able to use both.

Where are you finding the setting for MultiTasking Gestures?

On an iPad, go to Settings, then General. The option to turn on multitasking gestures is located below the accessibility button.

I should've clarified that multitasking gestures are only available on the iPad, not the iPhone or iPod Touch, unless something changed that I'm not aware of.

I have a 5S. So, I thought multitasking gestures might be useful since it has the more powerful processor. But perhaps I don't understand exactly what multitasking gestures is really about. Is there a link to documentation? I didn't find any.

Bob,

You won't be able to find them on the 5S. They're only on iPads, not iPhones.

I had them on at first on my iPad but soon realized they interfered with mBraille. I did like them though, and wish I could use them.
