Hi: I am unable to save a new contact, iOS9.31 iPhone 6 with plenty of space left. I am able to type into the contact app, tap the done button and review the entry. However, the entry cannot be found using the search box or the table index. I have rebooted the phone with no success. Any thoughts would be appreciate. I have a total of about 350 contacts.

I just tried saved a new contact and not issue it all.
When you click the done button the contact should be saved.
Question to you
after click the done button where your device go?
it means what does iOS device do?

After clicking the done button, the contact information as entered is displayed on the screen. When I think flick back to all contacts and then attempt to use the search box or the table index, I cannot find the new contact I just entered. Although I did click the done button to save the entry, it cannot be found.

That's odd I'm not sure what would be causing that. I have noticed that going through the index like if I go to m then swipe right it will be on l contacts for some reason.

seems you are doing everything right however for some unknown reason is not saving those contacts to your device
do you use some mail server to save all your contacts?
or just curious do you use iCloud?
okay try this to see what your iPhone does after this
1 after clicking the done button voiceOver will be at contact information screen look for the share button and share to your own via message or mail.
2 try search for your contact that you just saved it on the contact list.
3 question. did you find the contact?
4 close phone or contacts app using app switcher
5 go to your messages or mail where you share the contact info
6 download and the contact info is showing there? are not talking to save it just if the info has been display
7 if the info is showing save as add to new contact
8 can you find for the contact under the list?
could you tell us what you see doing through all the process please?
