iOS14 and verizon customers

If you're a verizon customer you may have gotten a text saying that all calls that could be possible spam will be silenced and automatically sent to voicemail, verizon claims this is a feature of iOS14, however they seemed to have added their own filter that is different from the spam blocker that apple added in iOS13. It appears that the one verizon added can't be disabled. and if it can has anyone figured out how to do this? I don't want any of my calls going to voicemail as I deal with a lot of medical stuff and don't want the wrong call to be automatically sent to voicemail. Someone mentioned to me that verizon has an app called call filter but I looked and can't find that app anywhere unless it's in the verizon app itself. I don't think phone companies should be adding features to customers lines without their permission regardless rather if they are free or not.

The app does exist, but does not work well. Also you have 2 choices. free which does not work well and pay. I think you have to pay 2 or 3$ for it. So far I had not have your issue.

Hello Troy,

I vaguely remember seeing something about disabling this feature in the text I got from Verizon, and this 9to5Mac article pointed me in the right direction. Go to Settings> Phone> Call Blocking & Identification> and you can turn the feature off from there. There's also a "Silence Unknown Callers" feature on the main screen of the Phone settings that may be of help.
