You can check yourself for over the air updates or through iTunes. Also, it will be released today. If things go as they have with past releases, it will be around 10 AM Pacific time, or 1 PM eastern time (US). Just check back from time to time, it's really not too difficult.
Yes, you can install iOS 7 without connecting to a computer and using iTunes. Like you say, go to Settings>General>Software Update. Your iOS device needs to be connected to an AC outlet as well as wi-fi. Don't know about 4G.
VoiceOver should start automatically, as long as you don't turn it off, sometimes, updating can take a while, just be patient. I've seen updating take as long as 3 hours or so, depending on a WiFi network. Hope this helps.
I've not checked with itunes yet, but I've just checked in settings, general, software update and it still said: iOS 6.1.4. Your software is up to date. Has it been released in UK yet?
Hi, VO should launch automatically when updating as it has with all past updates. Keep in mind, however, that it may take a while for your iDevice to complete the update process.
Just go into "settings" "general" and double-tap the "software update button" how hard is that? Besides, iOs7 will come out whenever apple puts it out there, so be patient!

Well interestingly my iPhone is saying that iOS 7 is available but the download gets to about 20 percent and I am informed that an error has occurred and the download is discontinued. I tried updating through iTunes and it is still saying that 6.1.4 is the latest version of the iOS... patients... patients...
