Hello, I just updated to IOS 7.1 which I believe is the latest version. I am using an iPhone 5 32 gig. When I updated my phone, it seemed like the enitial update didn't fully install, so it prompted me to update again. So I proceeded to update the darn thing and it installed correctly. When I got to my password screen to to log in, it froze up on me and it took a while for it to register the letters that I'd pressed. I have an external keyboard which I used and it also froze. I am concerned because I don't know of a way to restore the update. Help would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you tried plugging it in to you're computer and then restoring it through iTunes?

When I go into ITunes to restore it, it is telling me to turn off the find my iPhone feature. I tried doing so but it kept asking me for my apple ID. When I attempted to put in my Id it would freze up and then tell me that I don't have an internet connection. Where do I go from here?

Hello Camilo, You should not have to do a complete restore to fix this problem. I encountered this exact same (or a very similar) problem in iOS 7.1 Beta. To enter in my ID and password, I found that if I waited about 5 seconds between tapping each letter (I have touch typing set to on), the letters would finally enter. I also found that even if I tapped several letters that did not immediately appear to go through, everything would be entered all at once again about 5 seconds later. If you can get this to work, this would be simplest--and then you can apply the fix I detail below once you have everything going. Another option is that you could try to skip setting up your Apple ID for the current time by pressing the "Skip" button when it asks you to confirm your Apple ID and password. Then you can go back and reenter it later (iOS will ask you to do this at some point, so don't worry about trying to find the right place to go and do this) once you've completed the fix. The way I fixed the keyboard lag was to go into Settings> General> Reset> Reset Keyboard Dictionary. To get back to that setup screen if you are not there, turn off the phone and turn it back on. Then you should be all set to go.
Good morning, Unfortunately nothing really helps me with the keyboard issue except for switching off and on the keyboard. The problem doesn't seem to be an accessibility issue, because whenever I am in trouble with typing, turned VoiceOver off and on, but it didn't solve the problem. Some of you has written that the same problem existed in 7.1 beta versions too. It is more than strange for me that the devteam didn't realize and fix such a huge bug. Although many times I use M-Braille to type, I am still very disappointed with this keyboard issue. Have a great day, John

Hi to all, I tried another solution from which I poped it might help with the keyboard problem. I opened settings/bluetooth and let the device forget my apple keyboard. When I made the pairing process, I wrote an e-mail at once and it worked. But several minutes later, I wanted to write another one, the same problem has occurred. There is no doubt, Apple has the key to solve this problem. From here we cannot do anything to avoid this annoying situation. Waiting for the solution, John
Hello John, Does your onscreen keyboard freeze up as well? Because once I erased my keyboard dictionary, even my Bluetooth keyboard started working again.
