Hi all, hope you’re well. A big thank you to those who helped me with my last post. I have an iPhone 12 mini 250 6GB, yesterday I updated to iOS 16. Ever since then I've been having some strange issues with Notification Centre and Control Centre. The swipe up and swipe down gestures to access notifications and Control Centre no longer work. Also in iOS 15 double tapping on any notification used to take me to its corresponding app for example I could tap on a WhatsApp notification and be taken into WhatsApp. Now however when I tap on any notification nothing happens and it does not take me into the notifications corresponding app. Does anybody know any reason why I’m having these issues? and how to solve these problems? your help with these problems would be most welcome thank you very much everyone kind regards.

Those issues that you are mentioning were reported to Apple by those of us who were beta testing.
However, it might take some time for Apple to address those issues.
Somehow, I have noticed that if I try to swipe or flick left or right in order to check notifications, these will not work most of the time.
on the other hand, when, exploring by touch, I have gotten much better results.
Hope that helps.

I am unable to find it on the screen. I've tried swiping and exploring the screen and it simply isn't there. If I go to the notifications button it isn't there either, not until a few minutes later. It doesn't work like this with all notifications, but so far I've noticed it when my full battery automation comes up.

Hi, I've found if on the lock screen instead of double tapping a notification if you swipe up or down until you hear activate then double tap it starts the process. Then double tap again on the same notification and that opens the app. Not 100% of the time but it does seem to work for some reason.

I have a notification, Voiceover has informed me of it, but neither exploring by touch or hitting activate will bring it up. It doesn't show up in the notification center, either. I have a 256 13 mini and my notifications are set to list.

I just got my new iPhone, the iPhone 14, last night and thought I noticed a little funkiness with notifications but so far nothing major. Sometimes when I double tap on a notification from the lock screen it does nothing, but if I simply double tap a second time, it opens up. Not ideal but workable until the bug is fixed.
I too found that the single finger swipe gestures for notifications and control center are hit-or-miss. It's worth noting that we can still use the old method of placing focus in the status bar and three finger swiping up for control center or three finger swiping down for notifications, and this still seems to work reliably.

I've reached the point where I can now reliably access the notifications and control center screens using the single finger swipe gesture. The trick is not to hesitate once you touch your finger to the top of the screen. The swipe should be immediate and fluid, so the moment your finger makes contact, start swipin'. It takes a bit of finesse and practice but once you get it, you'll be able to easily repeat it.
