Hi
I upgraded to iOS 15.1 yesterday evening and I’m getting an odd issue. Wondering if anybody else is seeing this and if there’s a fix.
When my iPhone (SE 2020 edition), rebooted after the upgrade, I got the following message:
Messages in iCloud not available. Messages in iCloud is not available because iCloud and message accounts are different.
When I go into the iCloud settings, Messages is turned off in my backup settings. When I turn it on again, I get the same message as above and I can’t turn the message backup setting on.
I haven’t made any changes to my messages or my account and I only have one Apple userid.
Any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers
Kevin

Same Issue
Hi. I experienced the same thing when upgrading yesterday. I signed out of ICloud and then signed back in and the issue wass fixed. Thought this was odd too.
Hi Ann Marie, many thanks. …
Hi Ann Marie, many thanks. I didn't think to try that. Please can you remind me how I sign out of iCloud. I've searched in Settings, but not finding it at the moment. Thanks again.
Signing out of ICloud
Go to settings and click on your apple ID and it says "sign out" next to name of iPhone. It will prompt you to enter your password and ask if you're sure you want to sign out of iCloud.
Many thanks. All working…
