All right moderators. Sorry if this goes out of the guidelines. But I have a question for everyone
As Metcalf said in his post about the September 14 event. iOS 15 will be coming on September 20. For Australia. That’s just tomorrow. For American users. It will also be tomorrow. But I’m pretty sure you guys are still on early morning Sunday
Anyway. What’s your favorite features for iOS 15? Do you like the new accessibility features? Do you like to see S I am detection? Do you like the weather improvements? Tell me. If you guys are reading the Internet. What’s your favorite feature
Mine is the FaceTime link option. That means I cannot join the FaceTime call on my Windows computer.
As I said. Sorry if this is out of the guidelines. But I just really wanna know

The list of bugs sounded too serious for my comfort this year, so I've disabled auto-update for the time being. Also, since I have an iphone 8 plus, I suspect that I wouldn't be able to benefit from most of the new accessibility features yet. I really, really want an iphone mini, but was honestly not all that impressed by the event last week. Part of me wants to hold out for one more year in hopes that Touch ID will make a return. Another part of me would love to get the pretty blue iphone 12 mini for a cheaper price, but then I feel like that would be a silly purchase since it's already slightly out of date. So, I guess my TLDR answer is that nothing new in the world of Apple has me particularly excited at the moment. I will be watching Applevis very closely to learn as much as I can, both about new phones and iOS 15.

There are no accessibility features, there are general iOS and iPadOS features that are injected into accessibility. Yesterday I found my iPhone 5 that I have not used for the last seven years. VoiceOver is very very stable. Braille seems to work much better than iPadOS 14.8
My IPhone 5 has iOS 10.3 and there have been more than 20 releases of iOS, not much has been added to VoiceOver. You know the Focus problem of VoiceOver? It exists in iOS 10.3, and now it is almost iOS 15 and the bugs stillexist.still exist.

Focus for me. I can't wait to get my grubby little paws on that one! I love the notification summary, and I'm looking forward to the background sounds, although I suspect I'll do better continuing with the Rain Rain app. Most of the accessibility features aren't going to work with my 8+, but last year some of the new ones sort of worked, and backtap, which I had been told wouldn't work, did. I chose not to use it, but the option was there. There are bugs, but I learned last year that they can usually be worked around, and if they can't, the next few updates usually fix them.

I'm looking forward to finding out how many of the rotor options can appear on the VoiceOver Quick Settings menu using two finger quadruple tap. After two years of using VoiceOver I still have trouble with the rotor gesture.

Hi,

My iOS 15 features are also the FaceTime link, as well as the accessibility improvements. I love them all.

Hi, all!

First, I'm going to air on the side of caution like Missi and not update at this time. A lot of the bugs from what I've read, seem to affect things I use on a daily if not regular basis. Such as the sharesheet, folders, app switcher, etc. Plus, the bug with focus puts me off as well, as I was planning on setting up at least 1 focus soon after updating.
So while I've usually jumped in with both feet in years past, this year, I'm holding out. But, I will be watching AppleVis, in particular the post about accessibility bugs very closely.
It doesn't mean I don't have features I can't wait to take advantage of, though. Here they are:

1. I cannot wait to use the VO. quick settings! My rotor is kinda bloated right now. With characters, words lines, BSI activities, etc etc. It'll be nice to be able to clean that up even just a little bit. Because right now, my rotor feels very cramped. lol

2. focus

This is one I'm really psyched about. I attend meetings with Hadley, Braille Institute, and sometimes with a couple other organizations off and on. But, I attend meetings with Hadley on a regular basis a few times a month. So, it'll be nice to be able to create a focus mode for when I'm in meetings. I just hope 3rd party apps take advantage of this!
I love the fact you can organize, name, and hide home screens now also, and not just in focus.

3. I love the per app settings also! Can't wait to see how much use I'll be able to get out of that little gem!

I love a faster Siri and offline support, I just hope that my Ipad 7 can take advantage of it. Along with the text options in images now. I hope my Ipad 7 can take advantage of that.

But, for now, I'm waiting on updating.

Hi, my features is: 1 Focus mode. 2. Braille alerts, 3. The beckground sound. I have tryed the iOS beta versions and I loved it. Sometimes my seccond device was slow and Voice Over talked with delay but I think that it's happends because my iPhone is older. I used on iPhone XS to check the beta versions.

Hello DaveMatsin: I thought that today was the big day. I asked Siri. Usually he says something like, "Here's what I found on the web..." But this time I said, when is iOS 15 coming out. And Siri said, everything you need to know is on the Apple web site." Had a little laugh over that one.

As a lot of other users here, I won't be able to use all accessibility features on my iPhone 8. That makes me sad. For that, I plan to upgrade oniPhone 13 to finally try out these cool new image recognition and screen recognition features!

Hi! I haven't decided exactly when I'll update to IOS 15, but when I do, the new features I look forward to the most are the focus modes and the VoiceOver Quick Settings: in the latter case, I don't have any problems using the rotor, but it will be less cluttered if I can put some of the items in the VO Quick Settings instead.
