ios. 11 & notifications bug

Hi all! I'm wondering if anyone has noticed this behavior with ios. 11. I'm on the latest version on my ipad. I clear my notifications out like always. But the problem happens when I have to restart my device. When I reboot, I have my notifications from that day plus days from the previous week! All of which I have cleared out! I'm sorry if I'm not making a whole lot of sense. Is this a bug? Has anyone noticed this behavior? If it's not a bug, is there a setting that I need to tweak? It doesn't drastically effect things on my device, it's just more of an annoyance. Thanks in advance.

I don't think I've seen this, but then again I can't remember the last time I rebooted the iPad. It certainly isn't a setting as far as I know.

I have seen this on my iPhone 7. After a reboot, I often have a collection of previously dismissed notifications from a variety of sources, including message, Facebook, and News.

It's not just your device. I have not found a way around it.

Phew! I'm glad to know that I'm not crazy! lol I was starting to think it was just me. I must confess, it's a rather weird and unusual problem.

I have had the same issue, and I had it in iOS 10 as well. No idea how to get rid of them, sorry. I am pretty sure that it did not start until I started using the News app. For me, all of the old notifications are from News

Hi. I didn't start noticing the issue until I upgraded to 11. For me, the notifications come from Weather Gods, Mail, Youtube, Messenger and The Kim Komando app as well as my local news station and Emergency my app that I use to get weather alerts. Some of these apps I let show notifications on the lock screen and that's a small number. The rest I don't. I don't let a lot of apps give me notifications and the ones that I let give me notications I only let the essential ones show me stuff on my lock screen. I just clear them all out in the sections so it's not a issue of major issues with how the device is operating, but it's just an annoying bug. I sure cannot wait to get 11.1, because hopefully they fix that, as well as several other bugs that you guys have found. I'm actually counting my blessings because that's the only issue I'm having.

I get the alerts from many sources too, not just the News app.

I am not paranoid, nor overly suspicious, but it does give me pause to wonder where the alerts are stored. If I dismiss them, I assume they are gone, but apparently, they are either triggered to be resent from some ethereal vault, or, they are still deep inside my phone. Either way, it's not disturbing, but it is intriguing , to me at least.

For me, the fact that alerts I have allowed to access my lock screen do not automatically read, I just hear the time being announced, is much more o a bug I wish was squashed than this issue.
