Include Weather Radio in Weather Gods - looking for suggestions, feedback etc

Hi,

I have an opportunity to include Weather Radio in the App. This is early days but I have been speaking to the team who distribute the feeds and have permission to include them in Weather Gods.

What do people think, is this something which might be useful? It would be part of the Premium subscription and include Grandfathered users.

So far I have a working demo with these features:

- list all stations
- filter by location, call sign and state
- listen to a station
- favorite a station

Any other feedback or suggestions please?

I would find this feature very useful and would have no problem continuing to apy for the premium tier of add-ons in an effort to both support and enjoy the benefits therein.

I love this idea! Keep up the great work!. To add to it, when a storm threat alert pops up for instance, maybe, if its possible, include a link to the weather radio feed for that location

I would like this, too. even if it isn't available in Canada, it would be nice if I traval to the US. as a beta tester, it will be interesting to submit feedback if it is.

I like the weather radio idea as well as a link to the weather radio with a storm threat. As it stands now I can look at the storm threat and it'll tell me if it's northeast of me for example, but it doesn't tell me what direction the storm is heading so I don't know what to expect.

Will it be only available for US using NWS?

By Weather Gods (Scott) on Monday, September 23, 2024 - 22:14

Hi Knut
That's all I have available at the moment. Not using NWS though, it's using a whole bunch of public and private weather related radio stations and being able to find and stream them from within Weather Gods.

If the US version proves popular then I can research adding stations from other countries.

that would be very useful since I live in the Delta. Tornadoes, flood warnings, excessive heat, index, etc. it's the only service that provides the weather data when the Mississippi is at its flood stage.

This would be a wonderful addition to an already excellent app.

I think this is a great idea.

I echo everyone's sentiments here. This would be a nice addition to an already awesome app. I've listened to some of these stations myself, and they provide a good service indeed. I'd definitely pay for this, but if it has to be free then that's fine too.
