Improving the reliability of audio messages?

When sending audio messages through the built-in Messages app, I have noticed a few situations where the results are unreliable.

First, there are times when the entire message is not recorded. Follow these steps to reproduce this issue:
1. Double tap and hold the Record Audio button.
2. Record your message.
3. Release the Record Audio button.
4. Before double tapping Send, check the message length.
5. Observe that, about 25 percent of the time, that length is far shorter than the message you actually recorded.

Second, recorded audio messages also result in sending video. Follow these steps to reproduce this issue:
1. Double tap and hold the Record Audio button.
2. Record the message as usual.
3. Release the Record Audio button.
4. Observe that, sometimes, your recipient receives not only the expected audio message, but also an attached video of the same content a few minutes later.

Third, similar to the issue above, but, instead, a second audio message is sent a few minutes after the original.

Does anyone else out here experience these issues and have any ideas for resolving them?

Regards,

Darrell

To get yourself pretty much always ready to record, double tap the messages field so you're in the text edit field of the iMessage. After that, hold the phone up, speak, then lower it. I do hope they might increase the quality of the audio in maybe another IOS.
