iBooks, IOS 7 and iPhone 5S

iOS and iPadOS
While in iBooks, when I touch the screen, I do not hear the text of the words spoken as I run my finger down the screen. I simply hear a "ping" sound. However, if I do a two-finger swipe down, the text is read to me. It is not specific to any book. This behavior does not happen on my 5th gen Touch, nor on my iPad mini, all of which are running IOS 7. So, I'm thinking this is specific to the 5S. Has anyone else noticed this? I have written to Apple Accessibility about this and hopefully, they can replicate it and this issue will be corrected. Chris

Hi. This is true, but really quite unacceptable. When I touch the screen, I cannot slide my finger around the screen and land on words that are actually spoken. I find this peculiar since this does not happen with the iPod Touch 5th Gen. or my iPad mini.
