Hello,
Prior to iOS 26.3 I could power down my iPhone using the side and the volume up button.
Since installing 26.3 this seems no longer possible. Is there a button combination that allows me to do this?
Thanks for any help.

Hi, in order to do it you need to press Volume Down and Volume Up and release both quickly.
after you need press on the side button long press and to press dubble tapp on the screen to power off.
You can ask Siri to do it, or to use Settings menue onder General.

If you say "power off device", "shutdown device" or similar to Siri, it will do it for you after confirming that is what you want to do. You can also do this to restart the phone.

Press and hold both until the shutdown screen appears and double tap on shut down.
It's been volume down plus side button for as far as I can remember.

This is strange. Working exactly as it has always done for me. Quick press volume up, volume down then press and hold the power button. Eventually, the phone goes off and a sound is made when it comes back on. That is a full hard reset. 26.4 beta 1 iPhone 15 pro.

Another way that you could turn off your phone is to go into settings general and then go to shut down and it will also turn your phone off. I’ve done that or I’ve done it with Siri. This is the two ways that I like to power off my phone. I have an iPhone 15 with iOS 26.3 on it. Hope that helps. What phone are you using?

Thanks everyone for the helpful answers. After rebooting my phone twice it is working now with the side and volume buttons. I cannot explain why this is. Oh well.
Thanks again for your help.

No problem. That’s what we’re all here for. Sometimes weird things just happened with updates. And then you have to restart the phone. It’s actually kind of a good idea to restart your phone after an update anyway. He kind of just clears out whatever stuff is in there during update process. I’m glad it’s working for you now.
