I’m asked for my password when I want to get a app. How do I turned this off in settings?
Thanks

If you follow the path in the subject line, I believe you will get to where you can change your password settings for whether and when you have to enter your password. Be aware, though, that if you don't require a password and someone else has access to your phone, they will be able to use your payment/credit account.

Joy!

Unfortunately I can’t change the settings to free apps. I don’t have to be concerned with someone getting my payment information since I don’t keep any money on my iPad anyway.

I can’t select the free option and the password option is turned off. I would like to pay with my passcode instead.
I don’t know what else to do? I just want the password notification to stop coming up.

Try this link.
https://appletoolbox.com/how-to-disable-password-for-app-store/ Now it will say iPhone but disregard that. Because of all that, I think unless someone is talking you through this situation, I am confused about what you want. In the same sentence you want to pay with a passcode but don't want the verification to come up. If you want help, contact me off list and I'll see what I can do.

If Face ID or Touch ID are on for iTunes and App Store, they are required at all times for all purchases, free or paid.

If Face ID or Touch ID are not enabled for iTunes and App Store, then settings decide if "Free purchases" require a password at all, but paid purchases always require your password. You can choose whether paid purchases require your password once in every 15 minutes, or for every purchase.

I always elect to use Face ID or Touch ID when available. It's easier. When I had an iPod Touch in active use, I'd choose not to require password entry for free purchases, and every 15 minutes for paid purchases.

I use every purchase just so I know, yes I bought that. Kinda overkill I admit but I do the same with other financial things. I also don't like the one click settings for things like amazon, again, if i click it, oh crap...

I don't think there's a way around this unless you use face ID or a fingerprint and even then it might ask for your password once in a while.

Perhaps buying a bluetooth keyboard might help if you're on an IPad.
