Hi all.
Ran into a new one tonight. In the Visible app for phone service, say you have to enter a verification code. So you get the code, get to the edit field, and type it in. Great. However, the confirm button doesn't show up until you stop editing the field.
My wife suggested turning off Voiceover and tapping the center of the screen, because she got it working once without Voiceover. That worked but took a couple of tries.
Is there some way to tell Voiceover you're done editing if there's no enter/go/whatever button? Lots of fields have those but this one doesn't, you just get the text about entering the code and the edit field. Sometimes the confirm button will show up, but dimmed, sometimes it's not there at all until you close the text field.
To be fair, this app might just be weird, when I first tried signing in I didn't get anything but my wife immediately got another screen. For me it was just stuck on the email and password screen, even though I'd entered both and hit next. SO I turned on Face ID and now it uses that, but it wants me to enter a code, at least it did one time after I turned that on.
Anyway, if anybody has tips, for the general editing question or I guess Visible in particular, if anybody's using it, I'd love some. TIA for any help.

Yes There Is One
What I do is to double tap on any text that is not part of the edit field. For Example, in WhatsApp I double tap on any message to stop editing.
The way how to do it
Hi,
The way how to do this is to set VoiceOver focus on the keyboard, letβs say on the return key or any other key and then use the back gesture (defaults to z gesture). VoiceOver then says something like keyboard dismissed and the text field has no longer typing focus, in other words, itβs no longer active.
Thanks!
I'll give those a try. Well I think I did try double tapping on text, that didn't do it. So I'll try the back gesture, but also double tapping on the text outside of the edit field again, because why not? I thought that would have worked and was honestly surprised when it didn't. It could be the app though, it's odd. For instance, when I type the first letter of my email address, it usually says things like "space" or "new line", even though it actually types the letter like it's supposed to.
Try the key above
Hello,
Above the left bracket and right bracket keys, or maybe the US layout on iPhone doesn't have those keys, then it's the p key, there should be a done button, double tap that.
The tip about using the back gesture when focused on a keyboard key is very useful. Thanks for that.
