Does anyone know how it's possible that I'm missing an app in the storage screen of the Settings app on my iPad with the most actual IOS11?

This app is 8MB with around 2-2.5GB of data in more than 100.000 small files. In IOS10 I didn't have that prob.

Is it even still on your home screen? Maybe the app got lost in the upgrade to iOS 11. If it is still there then try leaving your Settings app opened to the storage section. Sometimes it takes a while for the device to load all of the apps and figure out how much storage they are using.

The other possibility to keep in mind is that since you are coming from iOS 10. Is that even though the app may be on your home screen it doesn't necessarily mean its compatible for iOS 11. If the app is in 32-bit, it will show simply a placeholder for that app but when you try to double tap on it. It won't work, and you should get a message that this app requires to be a 64-bit app from the developer to work. If the app does indeed open and that you do see all your documents. That is very puzzling. However, if it doesn't work it simply means it hasn't been downloaded or not a 64-bit app.

Keep us posted of your findings.

I hate to ask an obvious question but did you click the show all button?
My largest app is Nearby Explorer and it does not show in the list until I click show all.

Thanks for the comments!
The app is still there, 64-bit and working perfect.
When I click iPad storage in Settings I have to wait about 5 minutes before any app is shown. After that I see a complete list, ending with the System storage, but my specific app is missing and should be shown as 2nd, just below Music.
I don't see a button or link with 'Show all' by the way...

My thoughts are that during the calc of space the IOS sickens and skips my app after that.

I guess that the iPad layout is different from the iPhone layout. I'm using an iPhone SE running iOS 11.2. If I open the iPhone Storage page and swipe right three times voiceover announces the show all button if this helps.
