Hi Guys,

Wasn't sure exactly where to post this but as it concerns an iOS app put it here. Move if required. Have any of you used the Google home app and if so have you ever tried to change the wifi network? My app says I have a google nest mini speaker fine. However, I simply cannot drop the old wifi network to add my new broadband network. I looked up loads of Google suggestions and seem to have gone through every element/tab in the app with absolutely no luck. The nearest I get is to add device which then tries to connect to the defunct network and no choice to change. Apparently, this is meant to be a simple task of dropping your old network and adding your new one. Ye'h right. If anyone has managed to do this can they say how and if not I'm wondering if this is a VO think and there is a graphic that you can click that isn't showing up even with Screen Rec turned on. Totally stuck so would appreciate any help. It is driving me mad and I've spent hours trying to sort it. Maybe time to chuck out of the window.

Hi Lee,,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it might be better just to delete the app and re-install it again. Deleting it should get rid of any data including your old wifi details. I don't use Google Home so I'm coming at this from what I know about apps in general.

Solved it by hard resetting the speaker. Should have thought of that hours before it came floating into my head.

I don't think it actually allows you to switch Wi-Fi network networks. I could be wrong since I haven't used one in years, but I think every time you hav to hard reset it. Or is that Alexa? I'm not even sure.
