Help Submitting Apps

I normally perform a Google search on the name of the application, followed by the word "App store." For instance, if I were looking for an app called Songify, I would type "Songify" app store. (The first word is in quotes, and the proceeding words are outside of quotes.) To ensure that I was giving you the right information, I wrote this phrase in the search field, and I discovered that the app store was the first result. When you click on the link, you can navigate to the various pieces of information that the website contains. Tidbits such as the "what's new" notes can be located under individual headings. If they aren't under headings, they should be on the page. I normally include the URL of the address that I found in Google, thus I press F six to access the address bar and copy and paste the link into the box that asks you for the address. Hi Ken, I emailed AppleVis about this problem and Michael Hanson gave me a work-around I use all the time when I submit apps. Here's what you do: 1. Go to your favorite search engine and type iTunes app store and then the name of the app you want to submit. For example, if I wanted to submit an app called "How Awesome Are You" I would type "iTunes app store How Awesome Are You." 2. Scroll through your search results and find the one that best meets your description. I typically get a hit within the first couple of links. Check the address to make sure it starts with"itunes." as this will be sure to lead you to the link and description you want. 3. Open the page that best meets your description. This should bring up the iTunes page without launching iTunes. This is a standard webpage so you can use typical JAWS commands and Microsoft commands for cut, copy, paste. 4. After the description, you will find useful information you will need like the catagory the app is in, whether or not it can be used universally, if it is free, the version, etc. 5. There's usually a link to the "Support" page of the app towards the top of this description on this window as well. I open this window first and copy its address into my clipboard, then paste it into the place where it asks for more information on developer on AppleVs in the . App Submission directory box before I enter the iTunes one simply because you won't lose focus on the iTunes store when you go to add the iTunes link. 6. Close the developer support page, leaving the iTunes page up in the background. Then, bring focus back to the iTunes webpage and into the address field, just like when adding the developer information. Copy this link into your clipboard, then paste it into the direct link edit field in the app submission form. And ta da! You have it all done.
