Hi all,
I have an iPhone 6 running ios 12 and a new battery that was fitted by Apple under the replacement program three weeks ago. I have been using a new pair of bluetooth earphones for the last couple of weeks and they have been fine. However, yesterday for some reason I could not get them to connect to my phone.
I went to settings and checked that bluetooth was on, checked the control centre and did the same, tried to pair other devices, like my bluetooth headphones, my sound bar and the earphones again with no success. I even switched my Iphone off and on again to see if that would make any difference. No go!
I have noticed though that yesterday, for the first time, there was no indication on the status bar, next to the battery level, that bluetooth was on like there usually is.
Can anyone suggest anything else to try or do you think that something hardware based has happened such that bluetooth will no longer work? Do you think that the battery change has done something?
This would not have been much of a problem in the past but as I've gone over to bluetooth phones in anticipation of getting a new iPhone 10r when they come out but not only are phones becomeing bluetooth but I can no longer connect to my echo, my echo app will no longer work and I cannot connect to my hi-fi system which is bluetooth controlled. So it seems that bluetooth is an essential tool that has become a real problem since it stopped working on my phone and from what the press says, I will be waiting for some time before I can get my hands on a 10r.
Thanks for your help,
Steve.

Things you can try.
Hello,
I had similar issues a while back. Here is what you can try.
Turn BT off then on.
Reset network settings. Be aware you may lose stored wifi passwords.
Back up your device using iTunes. Perform a factory restore and set up as new. Test to see if BT pairs/works with your device. If it still does not work, take it to an Apple store as something may have happened during the battery change. If it works, you can restore from your back up.
HTH and good luck.
