Help Needed Navigating App Store

Since iOS6 I've had an issue with the App Store. I.E. after conducting a search I only see one app displayed at a time. I have to flick up each and every thyme I want to see a new choice. Is there anything I can do to have options displayed in a more user friendly list format? Also, don't know if its related, but with the original one by one format I also don't see a star rating. Something else which I seem to remember hearing others mention, although I could be wrong about that. Regards.
