Help make the LifeSum app accessible

Hi there! I've done some research on what health and fitness app is the best and most used, especially for keeping track of calories and that also will work with Apples health app, to keep track of daily activities.
The answer seems to be LifeSum. My girlfriend has just paid for the 3 month subscription, and she is more than satisfied with the app and it's many features.
However, the app isn't accessible with VO at all, so I sent them a feature request to hear if they could consider making the app more VO friendly.
Today I got this reply from them:
Thank you very much for your email and for your feedback!

Our product team visit this page to get the most requested features posted by our users http://lifesum.uservoice.com/forums/274566-feedback-ideas so please feel free to post any suggestions you have for improving our app!

Regarding your specific suggestion, you can cast your vote on this post http://lifesum.uservoice.com/forums/274566-feedback-ideas?query=blind entered by another Lifesum user.

So it seems like they wont consider doing anything about accessibility until they get enough votes on this request. And who knows by the way how many votes that has to be.
But my hope now is that as many of you awesome AppleVis users as possible, could take the time to give your vote on the link above to help make LifeSum accessible.
I would love to be able to use this app, and I'm sure many of you guys also would find LifeSum quite useful! :)
Thanks in advance :)

Hey Cliff,

Markus from Lifesum here. We heard about this topic after Michael Hansen reached out to us, and through his blog post (http://www.applevis.com/blog/advocacy-ios-apps-opinion/accessibility-not-feature-and-developers-should-never-treat-it-such).

It's obvious we didn't have the right knowledge to respond to your request in a good way, so it was great for us to get a better understanding. We came to the conclusion to implement support for VoiceOver, and we are planning to have it ready within the next 6 months.

Really glad you're interested in Lifesum, looking forward improving the app and making it accessible!

Thanks,
Markus

This is awesome news! Thank you so much for reaching out here with this great announcement!
It again shows that contacting a developer and explaining the issue in a polite way, can give great results! :)
And of course, many thanks goes to Michael Hansen, who so clearly helped out here with explaining the matter in much better words than I ever could! :)
This is seeming to turn out to be another great success story in regards to app accessibility!
I'm really looking forwards to testing an accessible release of LifeSum some time soon! :)
And if you need beta-testers in the process, I'm sure you can find many here at this website who will be more than willing to help out! And that of course also includes me! :)
Many thanks again! :) :)

Great to hear! Will definitely get back when it's time for testing. I think developers like us need to learn more, so really worth it reaching out and explaining.
