Help with mail app on iPhone 12

Hi there everyone. I called apple accessibility a few nights ago because for the last year or so I haven’t been getting my email notifications. They gave me some real easy-to-follow instructions to get it going again. I followed them to the letter, and as a result, I finally fixed the problem. As expected, I now have the issue fixed. However, in fixing the issue, I’m now presented with another problem. I’ve got the notifications, but they’re on the Lock Screen as well as on the actual email screen. How do I make it so that I’m just getting the notifications without them being on the Lock Screen? I tried turning something off that said remove from lock screen, but then the notifications stopped altogether. Can someone please help?
