Hi members. I am completely new to the IPhone. I have the IPhone5S. I struggle a lot to navigate the screen. I cannot get to the home screen containing all the aps such as phone, mail etc. voice over constantly tells me Iphone disabled. I use my right index finger to navigate the screen. AS I drag my finger on the screen I get to an unlock button. I double tap this and voice over tells me to enter a pass code. I managed to enter digits by double tapping a number. so I entered 4 digits. but I can't find a button to ok the pass code. I can only find a cancel button. And there is something else that confuses me. I hear 2 voices: I hear the english voice over voice but then I also hear a foreign language voice; it sounds like french. Your help is much appreciated.

You shouldn't need to press an ok button for the passcode. If entered correctly, it should just take you in. If entered incorrectly six times, the iPhone will become disabled for one minute. Also, you don't need to double tap to enter a digit, you can also split tap, where you navigate to and hold the digit with one finger then tap anywhere on the screen with another to activate it.

Hello, As far as the different languages, are you at the point of setting up your phone? As the previous comment said, you can use split tap or double tap but make sure you enter the password correctly. I would encourage you as a new iPhone user to listen to the Applevis podcasts on using an iPhone or other training resources as not knowing how to use it could make it difficult for you. I wish you luck with your phone. best regards, Jesse
