having trouble syncing outlook2013 contacts to iPod contacts

hello all windows/IOS users. if any of you was able to get outlook2013 contacts you make in outlook2013 to sync with an iPod touch/IOS device how did you do it:) I am unable to:( help/tips appreciated thanks
