Has any one used the app called jacket before

Hi! I'm the developer of the app Jacket.fm.

I believe many people who are using it now only found out about the app yesterday because of this website. That's because I haven't launched it widely yet, I'm still actively developing it, although it is quite usable for most functionality.

My initial most engaged user while I have been developing this, is a very passionate and creative blind person, so I am very committed to accessibility and hope to improve it as much as possible for everyone over time.

Yes, I just signed up for it last night. It’s a very cool app. It’s been very easy to navigate. I’ve found trying to pause someone’s audio clip to be kind of a pain, but besides that it’s a great app.

Yeah, I do as well. I wish we could have the scrub gesture, to be able to get out of someone’s profile.

I started using the app yesterday. I really like the way it is set up, I am seeming to have some trouble as far as clicking on new audio after I listen to someone else’s audio. I’m not sure whether I need to click on the person’s profile and then hit play on their story, or click on the transcript but that is one thing that confuses me. Also, I’m hoping to start doing live streams of games on that app eventually, via the live section or the live section rather, But after doing a test recording of using the app while playing a game on my phone, the microphone seems to pick it up very faintly. So I’m actually not sure if live streaming a demonstration of a game would really be the best thing. But who knows maybe I could create live Other live content. Like discussions about accessible games, etc. By the way, if anyone wants to add me on there, my username is Sportsfan123

though via the Android app. (More on my thoughts on that in the forums here.) I also mentioned the lack of Accessibility Actions. The interface is a bit cluttered.

For me so far, I like everything, my top favorite thing, though about the app, would have to be the AI, where it’s able to summarize peoples audio clips, it does a great job at it. There can be some things that can be improved on within the AI, but for the most part, it’s pretty accurate. At least for my audio clips that I’ve done so far.

Is this basically TikTok, but for audio? Reminds me of Vorail.

Vorail used to be pretty fun, but the platform seemed to lose momentum a while before the switch to paid.

Or maybe it was the longer messages that did it. I have a hard time paying attention once people go on for more than a minute or two.

I have started doing live demonstrations of audio games on this app. I really like the fact that I can go live and stream stuff, without having to worry about the video aspect of it. This is huge in my opinion. I like the fact that I can also record my live streams, so people can go and listen to them if they want after the fact.

I did download it, and like it so far. Do you plan to have the ability to send private/direct messages?

I'm wondering if anyone has received this message after trying to publish audio? I just downloaded this app yesterday, and I'm liking it so far. I had an intro posted and it somehow got deleted. It was probably something I did. My problem is, every time I record audio now, it says this upload is being processed. How can I delete these posts and start from scratch?

Hey Earle, thanks for posting that! Everything processes in a queue and it turns out someone managed to upload something that basically blocked everything else in the queue. I didn't even know that could happen!

In any case, the problem should be resolved now. It's a bit of a temporary fix since I haven't yet investigated what caused it to get stuck.
