Giving a presentation from an iPhone

Does anyone have any experience giving a presentation from their iPhone?

There's two parts to this. The first is driving a projector. I'd need a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Once I connect everything up, are there any settings I need to change, besides turning off auto lock, obviously. Or does it just start displaying to the projector?

Part two is the software. Is Keynote on iOS accessible? What other presentation software options exist?

Thanks for any information.

Would I be able to direct VoiceOver audio to my AirPods so it doesn't go out over HDMI? It would be slick if I could have VoiceOver in my AirPods and presentation audio over HDMI, but that's a want rather than a must. Thanks.

Hi Paul,

You, might, be able to keep your voice speech within your AirPods. When you go to:
Settings, accessibility, VoiceOver, audio,
...while wearing any type of earbud, you will get two new headings; a Speech channels heading and a Sound channels heading.

By default, the left and right channels for speech and the left and right channels for sound will be "selected". Unselecting any of those, will send the sound to whatever the main device is that is catching sound, in this case we are hoping that it will be whatever you are mirroring your iPhone screen to.

Try the speaker assistant. It is supposed to help with presentations. I haven't tried it yet. Do try and let us know.

Thanks for the tip about Speaker Assistant, that looks interesting, I'll check it out. But I don't know how I could run it on my phone at the same time that Keynote is driving the projector. This is what I get for buying a Mac Mini instead of a MacBook.

Wait a second. Wait a second! Why can't I just bring my Mac Mini and use that to drive the projector? Then I could run Speaker Assistant on my phone. Or I could use my phone to run Keynote's remote control. Wow, lots of possibilities. Thanks for letting me think out loud.

The facility told me their projector input is like a seven-headed hydra, so no need for me to purchase a USB-C adapter. Yay. They also have a warm-up room, so the day of the event, I'll be able to work out any bugs.
