Getting VoiceOver Volume To Exceed 35% On iPhone 5s

I have gone in through the voiceover settings and also by using the rotor for voiceover volume on my IPhone 5S and cannot get the volume of voiceover to go any higher then 35 percent; a real pain if you have your ringtone set at a louder volume; unable to hear caller Id info for example or if you have audio/video settings turned up higher; is there a quick fix for this problem or will we have to wait for the next IOS release to fix this voiceover issue? Really annoying!

This is a known bug, and as far as I know, the only way to fix it is to reset *all* your settings to factory defaults, set the volume where you want it, and hope it never gets below 35%, because once it does, it won't go above 35% again.

Hi. Do the following to fix the issue, at least for now. It's a bug, so Apple will have to fix it permanently, hope this will be in a future update. Go to settings, general, reset, followed by reset all settings. Make sure you choose reset all settings, and not reset all content and settings. If you do that, any other music and other content will be erased and you don't want that. So choose reset all settings and for a few minutes your phone will go silent, this is normal. This happens while the phone resets. After a few minutes your phone will reboot and VoiceOver will come back on, but it'll be as if your phone's been turned on for the first time. You'll still have all your apps but you'll need to customize your phone to your liking and set all the settings the way you want them again. Your first thing you'll want to do is to go into settings, general, accessibility, VoiceOver, rotor. Make sure that volume is not selected in the list of things that can be in the rotor. If you need to turn the volume up, be sure to use the buttons on the left side of the phone instead of using the rotor. I've heard about other people doing this, and it seemed to work. I have no idea why Apple hasn't fixed this, but there you have it. I hope this helps.

There's apparently a hardware issue on the iPhone 5S that causes this problem, because it doesn't happen on the iPhone 5C and iPod Touch 5th generation, which are running the exact same operating system.

the volume on the iPhone 5S is not a hardware issue. when say hardware issue means the some component of the device doesn't work propiertly , but in this cace this issue is nothing to do with the hardware. this is a software issue confirm on the iPhone 5S only when is running voiceOver. personally I do have an iPhone 5S and it's iOS software issue that voiceOver doesn't work good or have many issues using voiceOver is not only the volume if also the sound too. if you disable voiceOver from the iPhone 5S the device will work perfectly with out any issue. even there caces on the same 5S devices doesn't show this software issue. according to the rumors from many sorces the iOS7.1 is coming to next month. remember just rumors iOS7.1 will debut on March.

For those new to jailbreaking, please know that while legal, jailbreaking your device (even to fix the rotor volume without doing a reset) will officially void your warranty with Apple.
