Hi. How do you get the sounds an app uses out of the app? For example, the sound you get on skype when someone calls you or the sound in zellow you get when you hold the talk button down? Can you open the .ipa file from your iTunes backup on your computer on 7zip or something? Would you have to change the file name from .ipa to .zip first?

Yes. Opening the .ipa file with 7zip works. You are able to view the applications files. There is no need to change the extension to .zip first.

Hi, one thing to be aware of is that in order to find sounds you have to go into the payload directory. Another thing to bare in mind is that you can't always get sounds out of apps, for example the game freeq seems to have all its sounds stored I believe in an assets file which so far I haven't worked out how to uncompress, which is most annoying as I am a bit board of playing the game as I amfamiliar with all the main story and now just want to listen to all the possible endings.
