tldr:
bought a new case to revitalize my old ipad. verdict: good purchase.
what up ipad os frens.
I have been a mac fan for years. I love the things that can be done with "old" apple products. Some tinkering and a will to keep the old tech alive, somehow. My significant other had an aged ipad air 2 that was "acting up" and unresponsive to home button clicks. After a physical clean up involving some wipes and some small tools. I did a clean OS re-install and forced iTunes on my macbook to slowly but surely upgrade it all the way to ios 15 which resurrected the device. (days later)
I bought a Zagg bluetooth physical keyboard case combo on amazon for easy travel when its in my bag. It was exactly the sort of accessory that I really liked. rugged Design and utility. It's a really great keyboard and can be synced to my iPhone or Android device in a pinch if my ipad is charging. After using it inside google keep and the stock ios notes app, a few times while my macbook air was charging, I am slowly using it more and more for all my day to day ideas, notes, calendars, emails, and even iMessage has been significantly more fun. Love the multi tasking button.
I have wanted the "split screen feature" (found easily on my Pixel 6 Pro ) on my current iPhone 13 Pro since my return to ios on the iPhone 11 Pro Max (another great phone i loved) and still surprised that it doesn't exist on iPhones, but things like "island display" get the big push on the development side. Just a small complaint.
I can easily see myself getting another used iPad Mini, in the future, to see what other e-waste shenanigans I can get into.

Hello
Hello and welcome to the community as well.
That’s an awesome story.
Just know that if iPad breaks in the future, like it can never be ever placed again, if you have technical experience with taking apart stuff, maybe you can make something out of it.
How are you can even make a computer out of it?
I have an iPhone 6, since that can’t run YouTube, are use it as a backup
