I have an iPhone 8 with the latest OS. The other day, the cable outside my house that connects me to the cable company broke, and they came to fix it. The internet is working right, again, except for emails on my phone. The messages load and read on my Mac, but nothing is sent to the phone. I use the native Apple app, and it has always worked fine. The phone is connected to my network and behaving normally, otherwise.
"Oh dear! What can the matter be?"

Try removing your mail account
If you go to settings and mail you should see all the accounts that have been configured on your IOS Device; I am just suggesting that you delete the account in question and set it up again like you were doing it the first time.
If you have Gmail; it is really handy to set it up as IMAP that way mails on your computer i.e. Outlook, Web and Mail app. on your phone are always up to date and in sync; by which I mean if you delete the mail on your iDevice it will be deleted on Outlook and the web and like wise any other way

Getting email back on my phone
As the previous post suggests try removing the account completely from your phone and adding it back again. Perhaps re typing the password will update it so you start to receive email on your phone again.
Thanks to both of you.
It worked. The problem was that I had changed my password. I thought it would update on the phone along with the Mac. You live and learn.
