For all things garage band or logic pro, if I were you I'd first go to and look at a web site called logic.band. They have a lot of tutorials and a good discussion group, plus periodic live QNA's with their resident blind expert.
I'll probably end up hooking up a keyboard, but I am currently fighting with the touch instruments and stuff. Because I'm kind of assuming people's go to wouldn't be, oh OK, let me buy some separate hardware, assuming they don't already have a musical keyboard of course. It might take a while, but I feel like I should be able to get there and do something or other with it. They have some pretty interesting-looking features, like you can set a chord mode to do chords ,so you don't have to try touching multiple points in the screen at the same time and hit them every time.
I would be interested to know how to use this application, especially when it comes to creating and exporting ringtones. I remember back in the day when I used to contact Apple about GarageBand, regarding the accessibility of the app, along with iMovie and Clips. I am totally blind, but I wanted to do some simple edits, such as getting some audio, and then putting a picture over it as an overlay. These things are pretty simple, but it's not that simple with the app. If you manage to put something together, definitely post and let us know. Regardless of how many other sources are out there, it's always great to have another opinion, especially on pretty obscure topics such as this. It's not easy to find up-to-date guides or information for the iPhone, especially when it comes to blind users. I don't want a podcast or a set of videos where I have to wait for a specific person to get on, I want accessible information directly from the source, if possible. I know your time is valuable, but, yeah. It would be interesting for sure. I used to struggle with GarageBand, until I eventually deleted it from my phone after trying multiple times to explain why the application wasn't accessible and apple not really to do much about it. Eventually, I got tired of taking time out of my day to send screen recording after screen recording with no solution.
