Indeed is the one I use. Iā¦
Indeed is the one I use. I found my current job through the app, though I'm looking for something else to supplement it.
In some cases, it has been super easy to apply for a job that might be interesting. Of course, just like always actually finding a job that might work is extremely frustrating.
I've also had employers head hunt me, probably because keywords in my resume come up when they look for possible candidates. None of those have led to anything though. Somewhat amusingly, I got one of those job match emails from indeed encouraging me to apply ... for a position with my current employer in my own department! If they thought I could do the job, they would've reached out directly. That whole 80% of jobs are filled directly from referrals thing. Sigh.
LinkedIn
I use the LinkedIn app to do my job hunting. It is very accessible. It also has a very nice "Easy Apply" feature that makes applying to jobs a breeze.
Just make sure you have a nice resume prepared ahead of time, it makes interacting with job recruiters more efficient.
