I use the Fleksy keyboard intermittenly when I am not using dictation.
Unfortunately I seem to be having more and more trouble with the app seeming to not respond properly with the last few versions of iOS 14.
I am wondering if this keyboard is still working for others and if this keyboard is still being supported.
It was a great keyboard when it was working. Wish that Apple would pick it up as the default for accessibility reasons and support something like it long term.

Problems here too
I've noticed the same. I used to use it all the time but since 14.6 it's been constantly freezing so I've taken it off my keyboards for now. Would love to have it back but its not productive to have it as it is right now. Not sure if the developer is still working on it or not at this point.
I Use It
It is my primary keyboard for text messages, but I find it a little problematic in other apps. It works very well for me, in text messaging, and I keep it on my phone for that.
I have seen numerous news items about the developer and his very active work ferreting out deceptive and harmful App Store issues, some relating to clones of the keyboard. Given the track record they had with the origins of Flecksy,and this new work, the keyboard has likely taken a back seat.
I tried getting into Apple's native swipe keyboard, but I haven't been able to make it through the learning curve to be even half as productive as I am using Flecksy for what it does well, and a bluetooth keyboard or dictation when I need to type more than a few words into other apps.
FlickType?
The last time that I used Fleksy, its focus had switched to GIFs, stickers, and themes. It also wasn't particularly VoiceOver friendly. So, other than there being an in-app purchase, is there a reason not to switch to FlickType?

Well, glad to hear that I'm not the only one having problems with Flicktype these days with iOS 14, but very sad to see that Flicktype isn't working as well as one might like. Too bad. This was a remarkably accessible and efficient keyboard for blind folks to use at one time. Hard for an individual developer to keep it up to date for such a small community though. This is really the type of thing that Apple should be doing so that such a useful app can keep up with OS revisions, etc.
I do wish the developer good luck in his wranglings with Apple and hope he can at least make a living selling it to the larger community.
I have never had success using Voiceover with the new keyboard funcvtionality that Apple put out. Although it sounds easy in theory, it is extremely difficult to use efficiently and reliably with Voiceover. So I tend to rely on dictation and use a bluetooth keyboard when possible.
Oh well.

Braille Screen input contracted is an option
Assuming one has knowledge of the braille alphabet, it is possible to use it a letter at a time with no contractions if these aren't familiar. The guide to braille screen input post, along with its comments are helpful if you can read on one device while practicing on the one you wish to use with braille.
