FitBit App Setup Accessibility

I received a FitBit Flex as a gift, which my daughter set up using the IOS app. Can the Fitbit Flex be set up independently with Voiceover? If not, can it be set up with the computer? For either, are there written instructions about an accessible setup posted on AppleVis or elsewhere? I could not find any labeled buttons on my iPhone to set up my FitBit again after a problem.

The problem is that I got an error message that the app had crashed. Based on what I read on Google, there is an issue with the latest version that FitBit is still working on. It appears that further, frequent crashes may occur until the problem is solved. Therefore, I would like to set up my FitBit Flex on my own once to see what happens, without having to ask my daughter for help before the issue is resolved fully. Help is appreciated from users who have a current FitBit Flex model and who have set up their account, or who have relevant information that it is not possible.

By the way, I was mildly amused at the angst of some sighted FitBit users who are encountering problems with the app and theidevice.

For me, the most accessible way to set it up is through the Fitbit website. It is pretty self-explanatory once you log in.

David Woodbridge recorded a podca' about this. I am not sure if it is on the AppleVis website; but if it is not, it will be on his own podcast site at davidwoodbr.podbean.com. I hope this helps you.

I had to get some eyes to help with setting up my fitbit flex. I posted a review on the apple vis website which i did. It's in the accessory review bit of the site. Can't remember what section that is under.

I love my flex. The only difficulty was the set up. Good luck with it. PS the windows app is not accessible at all :).
