iOS and iPadOS

You can now do something I believe android users have been able to do for ever, remove icons from your doc and replace them with other icons.

For example; I removed safari and replaced it with chrome and removed music all together as i don't use that part of the phone.

this is not a new feature. you have been able to change the items on the dock for years.

Boy have you got to feel for somebody who's been living for who knows how long with the Dock full of the same apps it was when they booted up their first iOS device 🙉

When I tried it didn't let me remove them.

It sounds like we are talking about two different things here.

Being able to move apps in and out of the Dock has been around since year dot. This is where you can decide which apps you have in the Dock. and in what order

But, if you are talking about deleting stock iOS apps, then that is more recent, as it was only introduced with iOS 10. Even then it wasn't all stock apps. I believe that for Safari (and possibly some others) you had to disable them in Settings.

As of iOS 14, you can move stock apps such as Safari and Apple Music from your Home screen to the App Library. Still not the same as removing or deleting them, but it sounds like it has at least got Safari and Music out of your Dock ☺️

Exactly, I moved them to the library, sure it's not getting rid of them but it's moving them off of the dock and I don't know how to get to the library :)

I think you can actually delete music though.

I don't have any use for the library.

I might check it out in the future though.
