Hey everyone,

I’m looking to dive into a self-help workbook and want to make the most of it by taking notes along the way. I’m using an iPhone 13 mini and a HIMS BrailleSense Polaris. Could you recommend the best apps for reading workbooks and taking notes that would work well with my setup? Any tips on making the process smoother would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Polaris has a built-in reader so I think you better use it.
If you have reasons to stick with your setup, I am not familiar with an app that enables annotations on iOS. Some apps claim to offer this option, yet what you annotate is whole paragraphs, not specific block of text. Unfortunately developers of book reading apps ignore the fact that reading does not only happen through built-in speech features, yet users also use VoiceOver to read and might need annotations and other text highlighting features.

My favorite way to read books in braille. Well there’s two ways I personally approach this. One would be making a google dock and switching back and forth, I really like doing this for having to remember specific pages/paregraphs. As for directly taking notes I’m not so sure. I like to use my jernal app for quick notes as well. I would continue doing research.
