When I was still using my iPhone 5, I noticed that it no longer worked on iOS 8.1. I haven't tried it on my iPhone 6 though.

Works on my 5s running 8.1.1 - I had previously uninstalled the app, so I re-downloaded it and it read some bills accurately, so you may want to uninstall and try again

Before seeing this thread I just happen to download EyeNote a couple hours ago and it works fine. Identifies my bill denominations.

Hello,
I lost my iBill money identifier about 2 months ago, and I want it back I miss how fast it was.
I sometimes do use the iNote app, but as my subject says, it works when it wants to. I don't know if it works depending on lighting conditions, but you have to be almost perfect when positioning the bill strait, raising the camera at the exact angle, and the surface has to be completely flat, even though according to the website and anywhere you look it says you can use it while holding the bill on your hand.
I am using an iPhone 6 64 gigs, IOS 8.1.2
Sincerely,
JLove.

Doesn't seem to use the flash, so it does require light. Bills can be in any orientation, but need to be approx. 4 inches from back camera. Interestingly, it now speaks using the Alex voice on my 5S, although previous to my 5S it used its own human voice files. Not sure what's up with that. Also, it's best to go into settings>Eye Note and tap the button to display settings. That way, when you launch the app, you can at least verify that it's running (otherwise, the screen is blank).
