Check out the YouVersion app. It's very accessible and also...free. who doesn't love free stuff?

There are several:
Bible Gateway has many versions and is accessible with voiceover. You can read the Bible using Voiceover or have the Bible read to you by a human voice.
The other Bible app I have found is the New Version and it is similar to Bible Gateway. Has many versions and you can reaBible using voiceover or via a human voice.
Both these apps are FREE. To get additional features you may have to pay.

One Bible app that I have had great success with as of late is the dwell bible app. I did a review of it a while back here on appleVis. It is an audio bible and I believe it uses the ESV if I'm not mistaken.

JW Library is accessible, free, and has several versions in English as well as many other languages. The pronunciation symbols cause names to be mispronounced by VoiceOver in the default study bible but the audio for it is nicely read by different speakers for each Bible character and is in modern English.. The King James, Byington, and American Standard version don't have the annoying pronunciation symbols.

Don't bother trying the Life Church bible app. I had it to look at even more versions of the Bible, but it is now unusable as far as I can tell.

Just adding another contender to the list, my main Bible app now is the Blue Letter Bible app. It may not be the first choice for general reading purposes, but is a great option if you want to do more detailed study, with the ability to jump straight to interlinear, concordance, commentaries, dictionaries, and more just by clicking on the verse you're reading. A note about this—I've found that I can't just flick to a verse and double-tap; however if I flick to a verse, then flick down to navigate by word one or two words into the verse, then double-tap it brings up all the study tools.
