I love the ability to search for emojis, it’s definitely gunna have me using them more often than I used to. But I can’t seem to find it on my iPad, only my iPhone. Is VO just not focusing on it or is it not available?

Strange as it sounds, the feature is not available on iPad, only on iPhone and iPod Touch. I can only hope that it's because Apple hasn't gotten around to implementing the feature for iPad yet, but will do so at some point in the future. Other iOS 14 features, such as having widgets mixed with apps on the home screen, are also missing on iPad, which I think is a shame.

I agree. It's strange and quite a shame.
Because it'd be nice to search for emojis using BSI. And be able to use Vo. recigonition on my iPad.
And you want to know what I find funny about that?

That we could use the Vo. screen stuff related to buttons and images when they first came out. But the ipad 7 and certain other devices can't take advantage of that goodness.
Older devices I get it. But the ipad 7? Yeah, may not be the latest and greatest as of last week. But it's still more than inough to To do you the job.
And so is the iPhone EXR.

I can understand older devices not being able to take advantage of the fact that features. Because they weren’t made to be able to do that. East. It shouldn’t matter. I just hope that Apple is currently working on a fix to put them on iPads. And? I was looking forward to the widget thing myself too. I never really used widgets. But as I was thinking about it, I could definitely see some uses. Like to get my new set of plans from Google news. Or to get the Weather at a clients from Weather Gods. Where to get the news from my favorite newspapers and magazines from NFB-Newsline.

You can have widgets on your iPad. You can even have widget stacks. They're just in a different place.
Rather than being at the top of your homescreen, they're part of the "today view" which you can pin to your homescreen.
I've done this and love it.
