Hello, I have searched the internet many times for how to close running apps in the app switch for IOS 6 and every resource says that double tapping and holding brings up the edit apps area and there is a badge next to the app where you can tap to close the app but I can't find it. Are they wrong or is this just not doable was VO users or am I doing something wrong? Thank anybody in advance who can offer me some help.

With Voicer Over on you need to double tap and hold. Then the app switcher will say Editing Apps. They will be vibrating and have a minus in the tops left corner of each app that you want to close. You do not need to see that. You need to hear VO say editing apps. Then you will tap and hold the app in the far left position. Then split tap or as you are holding the app in the far left position use any other finger and tap anywhere on the screen with that other finger, ( two handed split tap, or split tap). After you do this successfully the app under your finger will close and all the open apps will shift to the left. Then Not lifting that first finger, again use the other finger and split tap on the screen and close the new app under your finger. They will continue to close and shift to the left as you repeat the split tap and all the apps are closed. This is by far the easiest way to close apps. I would turn VO on just to close the apps. Good question.

hi. you do not have to split tap. double tap and hold till it says editing apps, then just double tap with one finger on each app you want to close.
