Hi all. Are there any good diary apps for the I-phone? I'm not looking for a blogging app, but something that lets you keep the entries on your device. I have tried notes, and find that it doesn't work well for keeping a personal diary. I'm looking for an app that lets you change the date and time of entries, can be free or paid, and isn't cluttered with things like location, and pictures.

I have been looking for just this thing for quite some time now. Currently, I use MS Word on my PC with a document that is currently over 70 pages long, with each new page having the new date. I would like to break this document into individual dates and tried several things on the iPhone but without success. Hopefully someone will have some good ideas. Thanks for posting this question.

You might try Day One. It probably has more features then you might be looking for, but I use it and don't certainly use all the features that it has. I used to use "My Thoughts", but it hasn't worked since IOS 8. HTH!

I have downloaded day one, and although it is mostly useable, how do you delete an entry? I went to the entry I wanted to get rid of, and double-tapped the swipe button tras. The entry was not deleted. Instead, I was placed in the entry where I could eit it.

Hi,
I have been looking for a basic diary app for ages. After trying various apps, including the notes app which works, but has all the editing features which I don't need for a diary, I settled for personal diary. Its a nice little app, and although I have only used it once it appears to work really well with VoiceOver.
If you don't want the weather or mood status options to appear by default when you add a new entry, go to:
Settings in the personal diary app and toggle on the option for no mood or whether by default, well I am sure that's what it's called, it should remove this from your entries. Also if you create a passcode, there is a recovery option should you forget it. I found them entering a passcode you need to double tap each number no matter what your typing setting is. Also just so you know, the done button which is the equivalent of the login button I guess, is on the top right of the screen after entering your security code. Or just use fingerprint ID. Hope all this helps.
