Cutting out that ding when screen recording

Hey guys, I am wondering how to cut off the dinging sound at the beginning of a screen recording. I tested screen recording a YouTube video then converting it to audio with the AudioConvert app. At the very beginning of the file, the ding that you hear when screen recording starts is heard in the file. Do I need to go into an audio editor and cut that out or is there a way to mute that part? It’s in the original screen recording also.

When I need to share a screen recording I typically use the photos app to trim the start and end of the recording so as to remove things such as the starting tone and me navigating to whatever I want to record. Works okay and doesn't take too long.

Hi, I would have thought turning off system sounds before you start you're recording would work. Just turn them back on when finished.

Hello,
Muting the phone disables the noise.

Thank all of you so much for telling me that. I thought that would work, but I wasn’t sure. I didn’t know if it was a system sound or a voiceover noise. But either way, I’ve got it straightened out now.

Do some of you also record your Mic with screen recordings? I want to record gameplay and I don't know what the best way to do so is. I want to get an external mic to combat the earpiece issue with VoiceOver. AirPods won't work reliably with it, and the game audio will overtake the mic when using the regular Apple Earbuds.
Is there a solution to this? Reflector is okay but my internet isn't the best for that, sadly.
