Curious on peoples experiences with using the envision assistant beta.

iOS and iPadOS

I’m not sure if this is in the correct category, I apologize if it’s not, but I was just curious on other peoples experiences with the envision assistant beta, if you are apart of the beta, yesterday I got accepted to be apart of the envision assistant beta, and after getting to play around with the envision assistant beta I found myself impressed with how Acura the description of the pictures were. I had some in accurate picture descriptions, but nothing to off. I found it super cool how I was able to ask it follow up questions with using my voice. Overall I’ve been impressed with on how accurate the description of the pictures are, and I just wanted to know other peoples experiences with using the envision assistant beta, if you are also a beta tester. I apologize again if this forum isn’t in the right category.

Yes it’s definitely a great tool to have, and to use. I’ve only used the personality part maybe once, for the most part though, I’m pleased with the description of the pictures.

Well I'm not a fan of Envission but, what do you tell of its AI service compared to Be My AI frm Be My Eyes? I love this last and need to know if Envission does something different.
Thanks in advance

I, too, am a beta tester for this app. I don't have any issue with the personality thing, and have as a matter of fact changed the personality a bit. The app itself is amazing but my aim isn't, lol. I've found with all these OCR apps, that one has to more or less be able to point the phone in the exact direction of whatever is being scanned at a given moment. This even seems to be true of Seeing Assistant Home, which I just got and which claims that one does not have to point the phone exactly at the item/information being scanned. I for one am a bit confused by this and wish I could find some kind of basic information on this. A "photography for dummies" would be nice, but thus far no luck. I think the lighting around here might be adequate enough, but I just don't have a great aim for whatever reason. But Envision Assistant is as I said quite impressive thus far.

For me envision and be my AI are very much alike, but both have there own differences, but the one thing, I like about envision is you are able to ask follow up questions within using your voice, be my AI only let’s you ask it follow up questions within typing your question, for the personality thing I can’t say much about it, because I’m still playing around with it.

Two features of the Envision Assistant app that I like are the ability to let the app know about yourself and intrests. This means that you can often get more personalized responses taylored to your interests.

The other nice feature is the ability to tune the output responses you get. For example, if you like shorter responses or more detailed responses instead, you can specify that. If you want lighter responses or more serious responses, again, you can customize that.

I think those two features are a big plus so that you can customize the app to your liking.

Oh yes, the voices are excellent also. That makes it a more pleasant and seamless experience. I look forward to seeing how this app progresses and where it goes.

I signed up for this beta when I first heard about it, but so far, I haven't been offered the opportunity to check it out. Maybe the invite will be there when I get home from my vacation. Otherwise, I'll probably just wait until the app is released. It sounds super neat and useful, though.
