Hey! I'm the developer of Jacket.fm. What kind of trouble are you having?
There is a record button that should show up after the first post in voiceover navigation (it is on the bottom right), you will be able to post once you record. I'm working on improving the navigation a little.
It would be nice if the new post composer doesn't automatically switch my audio source to airplay audio; I can hardly hear VO unless I manually switch my audio source back to speaker from the control center.
Yes, that is an issue I did fix, but I have since reverted, since other users experience problems (see: https://applevis.com/apps/ios/entertainment/jacketfm) if that audio is on speaker. I don't think it should switch to Airplay though (as in, casting to another device), is that something that happens in other apps when you record?
Tell you what, I'll do another pass on this, and if there isn't a universal solution I'll make it a preference you can toggle.
I normally don't use third-party voice recorder apps so I can't really test it but the built-in Voice Memos app do not switch my audio source to AirPlay audio when recording.
I just updated the app to latest version moments ago, and I can confirm that when in the post composer the audio source no longer switches to AirPlay audio.
Using the latest update here from what I can tell and the audio source still switches to airplay, it does not do it when I first enter the recording screen, only while recording and there after. I hope this issue gets resolved for real. Apps like this shouldn't do this unless there is a reason for this and in the case of this, there really should not be any reason why this should even be a thing. Yes I can go into control center and switch it back but that even is starting to get annoying.
I can definitely confirm that audio source does still switch when recording, I just did a test recording just now. The audio source does switch back to speaker when the recording is finished though.
But yeah it would be nice if the audio source does not switch at all, even during recording just like in the Voice Memos app.
In the next release (not the one coming tomorrow, but the one thereafter), having audio come through speaker during recordings will be a user preference.
Currently there is no limit to a recording's length, however keep in mind the longer it is the less likely people will listen to the entire post. There may be a limit in the future due to processing time, 90 minutes perhaps.

Would it help to have record as a rotor action?

The next update will fix an issue with voiceover during recording. I think that will address your issue as well. It should be out tomorrow!

Starting to record
It would be great if there was a sound to let you know when you wil be starting to record
When i try and record i can't find the publish button.
When i record i can't fin d the publish button i am using jacket fm on a i pad air m2.
Re: publish button
I don't have an iPad but I'll see if anything can be improved there. The publish button is just under the large "play" button on the preview screen.
Alternatively you can try recording in a live booth, the publish works a bit differently there.
