Copy and paste from iBooks

Hello folks. I'm currently trying to copy text and separate words from Ibooks app using pinch gesture, but it does not work. Is there a way out, or copying text in iBooks, like in many apps, is actually unfeasible? Thanks in advance

Perhaps you could provide details of your experience so folks could attempt to replicate and help troubleshoot your issue. IOS Version? IOS device? iBooks version? Book type? epub/pdf/? Was book purchased from iBook store or imported from? What exact steps are you taking when attempting to copy text? Be specific. What are the rotor settings during each step? What is VO telling you during each step? What gestures are you using during each step? What app are you hoping to paste into? ?

iOS 6.0.1, iPhone 3GS, latest version of the iBooks app. I tried to copy from the book purchased in the iBooks store by spreading two fingers up on the screen...
