THis is the first time for me to use a Phone without a Home Button, and do not know if i should s study Gestures or something after i got my New Iphone 12 mini?
Waiting your replys
Yes, you will not only have to learn new gestures but get used to using them on your 12. Gestures like going to the home screen, getting to the app. switcher, control panel and notifications, taking a screen shot and clearing cache to free up RAM all these gestures need to be learned and gotten used to as they all involve using the Home button
Hi,
I also just upgraded from an iPhone 8 to the iPhone 12 (6.1 inch one).
From my experience the transition was not that difficult, I got use to the new gestures quite quickly (though in my case I have had a chance to play around with a home button less iPhone before, with my mom's iPhone 11 ProMax and possibly as far back as the iPhone X, when I went to give it a try at Appel resellers).
But I would also like to know how to clear the RAM cash in the newer iPhones.
Hi Ramey, I saved an Applevis podcast on my Victor Reader Stream for my own future reference when I get my next phone without the Home Button. It's Applevis Podcast #364.
I caught on to the new gestures, but I wanted something I could do more consistantly. I assigned the four finger swipe down to Home, and the four finger swipe up to task switcher. I also assigned the double back tap to Home, and triple back tap to notifications.
Between all of the options, I have enough ways to accomplish what I want depending on whether I'm going one or two handed.
Thanks so much for all your suggestions, i have listened to the podcast and also the video, and waiting to try on my new Iphone, thanks so much for all this help

Think of all the functions that require a Home button

Where is the podcast
Hi,
Do you have the link to the page containing the podcast? I just tried browsing through the podcast list but can't seem to find it.
