Closing Folders

OK, maybe I'm missing something but... How do I close a folder using VoiceOver gestures when I have opened it? I've tried one-finger swipe up, two-finger swipe-up, three-finger swipe-up and several other gestures. None of them seem to be working for me.

Hi. You can close a folder by doing a two finger scrub gesture. However, it seems necessary to be positioned on one of the apps inside the folder or on the folder's name for this to work.

You could also just press the home button. That'll get you out of most situations.

Hello All, I do use the home button to exit a folder on my home screen but I find one thing that is different about exiting a folder versus exiting an app that is just on the home screen. If you use the home button to exit a folder, voice over takes the focus away from that folder you just exited and returns it to the first app, usually, in the upper left hand corner of the home screen. This bugs me as I usually just use a one finger swipe to continue moving through my apps on my home screen. If I exit an app that is just on the home screen, not in any folder, voice over keeps the focus at that app and I can continue using my one finger swipe to the right to proceed. Why is this different when exiting a folder and can I get VO to stop returning back to square one after exiting a folder? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks. -Andrew-

Just scrub back and it should close the folder, keyword here being should. it works for me and has worked since folders came out in iOS 4.x.
Hi. If you don't care about where the focus is, or if you just want a folder to be closed, hit your home button once, and the folder will be closed. Yes you'll be back on another app, but why go through all that when pressing the home button does the job? At least, it does for me. No gestures to worry about.
