Clearing iphone data

When you delete photos from the Photos app, they are moved to a recently deleted album. You must clear that album to permanently delete the photos or wait 30 days for it to clear automatically.

1. Go to photoes.
2. Go to deleted photoes.
3. Hit select.
4. Tap delete all and confirm.

Yes, you go to your Recently Deleted album, I know that. But it's not always that. The storage reading sometimes will be wrong because it just hasn't processed that you've deleted something yet. It's happened to me, I had 2 GB and I deleted a bunch of things and it stayed at 2. Then when I came back a few minutes later, it was something like 6 GB.

I have an iPhone6 with 64gb and it is showing that my phone has 55.6gb right from the beginning. I don't know how to obtain all my space though. I tried with all my tricks and techniques. But no use so far. Same thing remains. Any suggestions?

Just because you have a 64 gig iphone does not mean you will have all of the space. Some of that is taken up by the operating system itself and the format of the file system on the device.

Hi. May I also suggest using the Memory & Disc Scanner Pro app? It deletes all junk files that are accumulated by apps like Facebook, Twitter and other apps and games. The app usually deletes over 500MB of junk files off my device per week. If you are using Apple Music, The streaming service will also accumulate junk files as you stream music.

When I first got my phone I had about 58 gigs free. This is the file system and the os combined. Remember your formatting rules. They still apply.

I do have memory and disk scanner, but for those who don't want to buy it is there a way clearing the cash of apple music? will it adventually delete automatically after a certain amount of days?

How are you all getting your iPhones to show the memory in the base that counts it as "64GB"? Mine has 16GB, but shows it in the base that counts it as 12gb or something like that; I think it's base 2 rather than base ten.

We just have it memorized. And 12 gigs sounds about right. Os and file format combined. I'm horrible at math but this is just from my experience.
